Beaverton (Oak Hills) , Oregon
Oak Hills is Oregon's first planned community and was added to National Register of Historic Places in 2013, as the Oak Hills Historic District. While Oak Hills is a Beaverton neighborhood, it has a separate community governed by the Oak Hills Homeowners Association. Only about 60% of Beaverton's area is incorporated into the city while the rest is either HOA's and unincorporated Washington County. Oak Hills is the second largest concentration of Rummer homes behind the Garden Home neighborhood, but has the best ammenities that include large and small swimming pools, gymnasium, playground, tennis courts, play fields, parks, walking trails, community gardens, and an RV parking lot.
MCM Family Housing
Based on Eichlers built in the LA and South Bay area of California. Most of Bob's' designs were based on A. Quincy Jones, Claude Oakland, & Frederick Emmons. Unlike Eichler's that tended to have a single car garage, a single bathroom in a 4 bedroom house, and interior designs that favored looks over use; Bob's interpretation had double garages, two bathrooms at a minimum, and interiors designed to be more condusive to practical family living. While each floorplan of his homes may look simular, each one is slightly different.
